i need to change my curriculum for 8th grade and i can’t find one! any suggestions?
for "cool fridge" i am sorry i did not explain very well i am looking for really anything i am currently in seton. i really did not like it so i get to choose. i am intrested in anything and i am a catholic. thank you!

You could try Charity Christian Academy. If you don’t care for the basic curriculum ask about the available options for each subject area, usually there is something available that will fit nearly everyone’s budget and learning style.

Apologia science course is really great! It speaks to you like your the student and he’s the teacher, i loved it.

Saxon math is a wonderful math course too. It’s kind of advanced but it really is good.

As far as the other courses go that’s your decision really.

My favorite is Oak Meadow. It’s a secular program, so you don’t have to worry about any religious content that might be in conflict with your beliefs. If your state is not one that requires enrollment in an "umbrella" school, you can usually get the full curriculum on eBay this time of year at a good price. Otherwise, Oak Meadow does have complete enrollment and their online bookstore also sells the curriculum separately if you aren’t able to get it used.

Hello, I just finished my senior year of high school, and I was homeschooled my entire life. Starting in 7th grade, I used A Beka Academy’s DVD Program, and I absolutely LOVED it! It is by far the ultimate best and only way to homeschool! You get to watch the teacher teach in a real classroom setting and they do their very best to include the "students watching." If it weren’t for their curriculum, I don’t think I could have handled being homeschooled. It is DEFINITELY something to look into. I know you would enjoy your school experience with them! Take it from somebody who knows! Good luck, and please check out the two websites below for more information.

We absolutely loved Oak Meadow when we used it a few years ago. It is so much more than those redundant workbooks. While some may consider it a "prepackaged" curriculum, it has so many options, it’s almost like creating your own. What I liked was that it’s a secular program and we were able to add our own religion classes, instead of relying on a Christian program that might be too fundamental for our beliefs.

    Hi Emily,
Would you be able to specify what kind of you’re looking for? Do you want a Christian curriculum? If so, Catholic or Protestant? Do you want a secular program? Do you need one from an actual program you register with? That would be really helpful for the people answering to know. That way we won’t suggest a Christian program if you follow different beliefs. Thank you.
