I’m a Sci-Fi fan with time machines being on my Top Ten list of fictional machines to help mankind. Although a time machine blender is a great idea what I really want to have is a transporter room like they do in Star Trek. My poor husband has to cross two states to get to work, so we really want to someone to come up with a workable solution for that. I mean, roll out of bed, take your shower, eat breakfast with the family, step into the transporter room and never be late again. Cool!
But back to the time machine blender. That would work really well in my house since I have a budding almost three year old chef living with me. Just the other day he decided that an experiment with peanut butter, a fried chicken wing and sweet and sour sauce was a good idea. Now with this little gadget all I’d have to do is press the “Reverse” button and rewind time back to the minute he got his little hands on the peanut butter.
Or what about the times when you’re cooking something really special and you get distracted for a moment and all of you hard work goes out the window. Imagine pressing that little button and stop a disaster before it strikes. Or, if you live in my house of picky people having a “Fast Forward” button would save a whole lot of work.
Imagine that you cook a meal that you think everyone (okay one of them) will like. Push that Fast Forward button to dinner time and see how your dish is received. If it’s good, then you can rejoice. If everyone makes faces and collapse on the floor, just hit that Reverse button and start all over again. What a life saver!
Well, that’s enough of my silliness. I have to get back to the real world and deal with picky palates, kitchen disasters and my continuous question — “Where did my personal chef disappear to?” If you spot her, please send her back to me right away — or else find out the specs for this time machine blender!
